BEHIND THE MUSIC OF LORNA
The Full Story
Lorna began her professional training in music at 8-years old in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated in Journalism at renown TEA (Taller Escuela Agencia) in Buenos Aires, while also pursuing her diploma in Classical Guitar at the National Conservatory of Music Carlos Lopez Bouchardo.
In 2002, she moved to Brazil, where she performed as an independent artist in several music projects while she also worked with dance and coaching other singers.
Since 2000, she has performed along with her band, the “Lorna Earnshaw Quartet” and also did concerts with the Symphonic Orchestra of the University of Caxias do Sul, in which her own songs were arranged and performed by 50 musicians on stage in front of sold-out theaters.
In 2008, she released her first independent EP, “A-Hora” and in 2010, “The Kind Revolution” album, with guitarist Ricardo Scartezini.
In 2012, she released her first set of DVDs introducing her original Vocal Technique Method, as a result of 11 years of research and working as a vocal producer and coach.
Lorna has received extensive music training in Argentina, Brazil, and the United Stated with renowned mentors such as Adrian Iaies (Jazz Grammy Award Pianist). Liliana Parafioriti (lead singer on Les, Miserables, with Kameron Makintosh), Tita Hutchinson (MI), Delbi Smart (David Foster), Dawn Bishop, Abraham Laboriel (Michael Jackson, Al Jarreau, Christina Aguilera), Terry Wollman, Grammy Award Nominee Jazz Singer Sara Gazarek, Brian Williams and Michael Bradford (Madonna, Anita Baker, Deep Purple, among others).
She graduated and received her second degree, this time a Bachelor in Music with an emphasis in Songwriting, by the former Cornel School of Contemporary Music (Shepherd University, Los Angeles, CA), after studying in the Associate's Program of the Musicians’ Institute (Hollywood, CA).
During her extensive career of more than 25 years, she has participated in recordings and performances in the United States, Brazil, and Argentina. She’s collaborated with acclaimed music industry professionals such as multiple Grammy Award Winner Moogie Canazio, producer Maycon Ananias and the Grammy Award Winner Adrián Pieragostino.
